Mercedes CLK550 for Pioneer AVIC-Z140BH with Back-up Camera

This customer was sent over to us from EuroMotorcars in Bethesda, Maryland in order to have the factory radio system replaced with something more up to date and compatible with modern MP3 devices. For this vehicle we went with the Pioneer AVIC-Z140BH which comes standard with navigation, Bluetooth, AM/FM radio, CD/DVD, iPod/iPhone interface, Sat nav traffic, HD Radio, SD and USB inputs as well as an auxiliary input for using non USB devices. This unit can also be upgraded with back-up cameras and satellite radio. This customer chose to upgrade and add the back-up camera to their vehicle, for which we used a Rydeen Miny camera which is a small discreet camera with a quality picture.

Bentley Continental for Pioneer Radio and Speakers

A customer brought us his classic Bentley Continental in order to replace and upgrade his factory radio and speakers. The radio lacked modern functionality and the speakers were showing their age, so it was time for an upgrade. For the radio we went with a Pioneer DEH-80PRS which is Pioneer's top of the line single din radio which has more tuning ability and higher sound quality than their lower model units. To go with this unit we installed Focal Polyglass speakers in this car which are some of the best speakers available. These speakers are handmade in France and use a metal inverted dome tweeter to properly reproduce the sounds of metal instruments. When everything was finished up this car sounded better than new and the radio matched the rest of the dash layout and controls.

Aston Martin Vanquish for Bluetooth and iPod

This vehicle was brought to us by its owner who was recommended to us by some other local Aston Martin owners in order to get his car outfitted with Bluetooth and an iPod/iPhone input. For this Aston Martin Vanquish we used a Parrot add on piece in order to add Bluetooth to the vehicle and we used an FM modulator for the iPod adapter. We also included a Lightning adapter for the customer's new iPhone 5.

This past week we had two separate Range Rover Sports in for rear seat entertainment systems. One of the vehicles was sent to us by Manhattan Jaguar Land Rover in Bethesda Maryland, and the other was a customer who was referred to us by a previous customer. For these vehicles we used the Vizualogic head rest monitor systems which are special ordered to match the vehicles original leather and stitching for a factory look. These systems include two DVD players and two screens, which can play from either DVD player or from an auxiliary plug on the front of the screen. These units also allow the sound from the movie to be played through the radio by means of an FM Modulator or through wireless headphones allowing the front passengers to listen to the radio.

This unit can also be upgraded with back-up cameras and satellite radio. Lotus Elise for Pioneer AVH-P6300BT with GPS and Back-up Camera

This Lotus Elise was brought to us by a customer who wanted to add navigation to the vehicle. This vehicle only fits a single DIN radio which means we could not install one of the standard Pioneer double DIN units. For this set up we went with the Pioneer AVH-P6300BT with an added module for GPS, and we also added a back-up camera. This unit comes standard with AM/FM radio, CD/DVD player, iPod input, USB input, and Bluetooth phone and audio streaming. For the camera we use a Rydeen Miny which is our go to camera due to its reliability and small size.

Acura TL for Passport 9500ci, BlackVue, and Blind Spot Detection

This Acura TL was brought to us by a repeat customer who wanted to have his Escort Passport 9500ci concealed radar detection system installed in his new car. Along with the radar detector he was interested in having a few vehicle safety devices installed also. He was interested in our vehicle blind spot detection system as well as our new BlackVue GPS equipped camera.

The initial reason this customer came by was to have his Escort Passport 9500ci reinstalled into his new vehicle.  This is a fully concealed system with dual front laser diffusers, front radar detector, a single rear laser diffuser, and a GPS antennae for locating speed and traffic light cameras. The system also comes with a small display and control module, as well as a cut off switch for quickly powering on or off the system. These units also have a USB adapter plug located above the drivers feet to allow easy updates of new camera and speed trap locations. The Passport 9500ci is a top of the line concealed radar system with unmatched performance for everyday use.

Display and control module mounted in the center console.

Front Laser diffuser mounted in the front bumper.

Rear laser diffuser mounted above the license plate.

After we finished the radar detector install we installed a Vehicle Blind Spot Detection System. This system is used to alert a driver when someone is in their blind spot using either visible or audible alerts. For this particular vehicle we set the system so the LEDs would turn on whenever a vehicle is in the blind spot of the driver, and if the driver activates the turn signal the system will also beep to let you know someone is in the blind spot.

The final addition this customer wanted was to add our new BlackVue DR400G-HD II. This unit is a GPS ready HD camera which will record whenever the vehicle is in motion. It comes with an SD card which can hold over 7 hours of video, and when the card fills up it will begin recording over old video. The camera also has a built in shock sensor so if there is an impact it will store the recording away so it will not get recorded over. This shock sensor also will tell the camera to wake up and begin recording if there is an impact while the vehicle is parked and turned off. Along with the HD video the unit also records sounds and voices in the vehicle. The GPS in this unit allows the video to display the speed the vehicle is traveling as well as allows the user to pull up a map that shows where the vehicle has been.
